Marvins Revolt have decided to say goodnight. We have really had a great time working with the band, but sadly everything has an end. Hope that this does not mean that this is the last music we have heard from these three talented guys and that they will find inspiration in other musical projects.
Here is the statement from the band:
After almost a decade of making music together as Marvins Revolt, we have decided to put the band to sleep for an unknown period of time.
This decision was made collectively as everything else we’ve ever done. Even though we’ve enjoyed almost every minute of this great adventure, we’ve come to a place where the thrills and kicks that used to make it all worthwhile, aren’t strong enough any longer. We simply don’t have the passion for creating music together as Marvins Revolt any longer, the same goes for recording, touring and all the other stuff associated with the band. So the only right thing for us to do now is this. We don’t know if we’ll ever join forces again musicwise as Marvins Revolt, but as for now, Marvins Revolt is no longer active.
We would like to thank everybody who has supported us throughout the years, everyone who has showed up to our shows, put on shows with us, had us sleeping, cooked for us, shared a stage with us etc. etc. And of course a very special thanks to our labels worldwide, HipHipHip in France, PlayRec in Denmark, Parabolica in Japan and the almighty Richter Collective in Ireland. Thanks for your incredible amounts of work invested in us, we’re forever in debt to you.
Thanks for the ride.
Klaus, Martin and Søren.

We are really thrilled to say that Menfolk will be releasing their next album on Play/Rec this spring. The album will be the follow-up to the fantastic album "Colossus" from 2005. Once again Menfolk have decided to bring the recording gear to a deserted place and record the album in a non-studio environment. This time the recordings have taken place in Villa Fjordhøj and Solhuset. Menfolk´s own Per Chnöeldh has been in charge of producing and recording the album together with Jakob Reichert Nielsen(ex-Lack). Jakob has also been in charge of mixing the 10 tracks and very soon these tracks will be handed over to Bob Weston (Shellac, Mission of Burma etc.) who will be mastering the album. All in all this amounts to pretty much the same team who did such an incredible job on the Lack "Saturate Every Atom" album! The new Menfolk album also has a name: "Beast One / Man Nil".

Play/Rec is extremely proud to announce that Copenhagen based band, Trust, is joining the label. Trust consist of Henrik W. Hald and Lars B. Laursen and the two guys have caused quite a fuzz here in Copenhagen since they formed Trust only a year ago. People who have seen Trust live or heard the debut 7" know that this is a talented two-piece indeed. We feel lucky that the band has chosen Play/Rec as the label on the forthcoming debut album. It will be recorded in the beginning of 2010 and released sometime around June. The album will be recorded, mixed and produced by Jakob Reichert Nielsen (Lack, Menfolk, Obstacles, Rising a.o.).
